[-$5,000] Holding Steady

The Job

My job continues to be exhausting in all ways possible. I’m dragging myself through each day, or more accurately, the days are dragging me. Every week feels like a tour of duty…

Someone has rented the vacated room, so my portion of the rent is returning to normal now that I have three roommates again. *Cue rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus*. We didn’t have the luxury of being picky this time around, so we’ll see how it goes…

Credit Card Debt

Another payday has come and gone. The money is already spent as soon as it hits my bank account. Ugh. Today, I made a payment to bring my credit card balance down to $483.

Student Loan Debt

I made another tiny payment to my student loan to pay interest so that my student loan balance holds steady at $5,000. The first order of business is to kill this credit card debt, then return to the student loan.

“Life Fund” Savings

No changes since last week. As of today, my Life Fund is holding steady at $4,000.

Good move on getting that credit card debt gone! Good luck with the roommate! You’ll be back on track soon.

Right on track! Credit Card debt is the most dangerous out of all your debt.
    Be blessed!

Hang tight! You’re so close. Sometimes when you’re this close it’s easy to be antsy because you see the light at the of the tunnel.

These challenges always seem to go down like a staircase, where it seems level for a while then there’s a sudden drop. I find your story very inspiring and it has given me inspiration. I hope that you will get the final drop down to $0 debt in the next few weeks and will be rooting for you.
    Best wishes.

      Thanks, Paul.
I’m struggling to have patience in those periods of plateau. (Wow, alliteration much? lol)

I feel that way about work right now too – there’s something incredibly draining about it and I’ve been looking for a better way to get through it without feeling like it’s just three tons of unwanted bricks. But I do want those paychecks very much. So we persist.

Looking forward to your continued steady progress paying down that debt. Zero day is on your horizon.

Well done! Great discipline paying off that credit card debt first. Hang in there!

Thanks, Maria. I’m hanging in there, but time is passing sooo slowly, and my job is still stressful. But this will be life for a while…
