Let’s Try This Again: I’m Out of Credit Card Debt for the Second Time

take2

Thanks to getting an annual bonus for 2015 that finally hit my account (yay!) and a paycheck, I have paid off the last $200 of my credit card debt and have started savings funds!

I suppose I am now officially ‘Single Debt Single Woman’! 🙂  Woot!

“It’s Deja-vu all over again…”

Last year (2015) this time, around the end of February / early March, I had just paid off over $30,000 of credit card debt.  I celebrated and was happy to be reaching large debt milestones. I’m trying to enjoy this weekend but it’s hard to relax. Next week will be tense. (Perhaps I need to start applying to other jobs in order to feel better about having options? … If you’ve been reading this blog, you know that, because of past events, job security is Read More

My First Setback of 2016 and a Job Non-update

Unexpected-Bill

After offering words of support to C@theSingleDollar about her recent run-in with Murphy’s Law, Murphy must have read my comment and decided to pay me a visit.

Just got a notice from my employer that I was overpaid on the disability benefit checks I received when I was on medical leave late last year to the tune of $750!  So I have to pay the money back asap. As the letter states, “We understand that the overpayment was out of your control, but we must work together to resolve the situation without delay.” In other words, it was their mistake, but it’s my problem now. Heh.

So I Read More
