Woot! I’ve made it to the 30’s. FINALLY!  Now that I’m here, I can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve already paid off over $30k in credit card debt before, so I’m getting back in familiar territory and know I can take down this last block of debt.

[-$45,745] The Tiniest of Tiny Pinpoints

Another Independence Day is nearly upon us. Last year this time, I had a $71,595 student loan debt balance and was excited to finally start having hope that I’d ever pay this off before I’m gray. One year later, and not only do I have hope, I’m starting to see the tiniest of tiny pinpoints of light ahead.

Student Loan Re-refinance

Good news! I was able to re-refinance my loan with my current student loan company to get a lower rate. Everything went through as of yesterday and I am now the proud owner of a shiny new student loan. I don’t know if this is a common thing for student loan companies to allow or not, but I’m just glad I didn’t have to move over to a new servicer. Woot!   Read More
