[-$28,800] Title Goes Here

Hey Peeps.

I don’t have much to talk about this week. Things are moseying along. Another day, another dollar.

I made an $1122 payment, which brings my balance to $28,800.

Me, daydreaming about my upcoming vacation.

Good progress, DDSW, next month, it’ll be a ‘marathon distance’ (26.2K) away till debt freedom for you. I’m still not there, with my little teaspoon for shovel and near-burnout level of work, but plugging. Still in the low 30K between student loans and my well-used car. I feel like a non-existing demographic, being in my 40s with student loan debt from the Clinton/Bush Jr era. No one to talk to in real life about this.Throwing all my hard-earned benjamins at this debt with abandon, but they are still just benjamins…

Looking through your blog since 2013, and the excruciating path you’ve survived so triumphantly… I bow my head and take another step forward. I hope you stick around on your blog to talk about the aftermath of debt. And I hope your life takes off in all the good directions you imagined.

Hey Czanclus! It’s always good to hear from you.

No matter how much money we throw at the debt, it NEVER feels like enough, does it? Ugh.

Yeah, no one talks about our demographic much, those of us still paying off student loans in our 40s. We may not be a big group, but we’re a small group with big problem$.
It really gets frustrating and sad for me to think about how I could be living if I didn’t have this damned debt. I could have my own apartment, a car, nice clothes, travel more, yadda yadda. Throwing $2800 dollars a month (WTH?!) into a bottomless pit just hurts in many ways. What a waste.

Maybe it’s time to invest in makeup and mini skirts and find a Sugar Daddy? Hmmm. I’m way too old to get a Sugar Daddy. Maybe I could get a sugar Granddaddy? LOL! Ahh, I have to laugh to keep the clouds away. I plan to stick around for a while after the debt is gone, but that’s still a ways away from now.

      Keep going!

Well, I needed to read some good news because, financially, I blew it in February. But onwards and upwards for March!! We got great news! Hubby received his full time status and will be getting his pay raise in April! Now I can go back to making larger payments on the debt and take a chunk out of it in the coming months! Plus we will be doing our income tax in the next couple weeks so that will take a bite out of it too! With about 2 1/2 years left till we have to renew our mortgage, this is giving me optimism! Thank you for the push I need!

Don’t beat yourself up, StubbornMama. If you read my Back from Vacation post, you’ll see that I blew past my entire Travel Budget for 2019 already and I’m not even stressed about it. Things will get back on track.

Congrats on your husband getting full-time status and a pay raise! Just as there are setbacks, we occasionally get windfalls of good fortune too. 🙂 Keep going!
