Thanks, guys, for all the positivity and words of encouragement after my last post. I really needed a verbal hug, and you guys really delivered. I guess I realized just how much I am relying on getting out a debt by a certain time, just to keep myself together, and when there’s a change to that, I get really down. I’m just so ready for all of this sacrifice to end, that it gets stressful sometimes. But never to fear, your Intrepid Debt Slayer is still here and ready to charge ahead. 🙂
There’s a reason they call it work
Remember in my last post where I wrote about having my work deadline pulled up to an earlier due date? Well, it got pulled up again to an even earlier date! This week, I’m working flat out trying to get a few different things in a presentable state for next week! This is crazy. With the schedule change, leadership at least knows that I won’t have everything done by then, but they are expecting a sizeable portion of it to be good shape.
As the deadline approaches, this will pretty much be me over the course of this week.
Punch of the Week
Some good news this week! In addition to my minimum payment of $855, I was able to throw an additional $400 towards my loan for a jab / total payment today of $1255. Yesss!
This is $455 less than the usual $1700 payment I make mid-month. I took that $455 and put it toward my credit card debt. I’ve taken from my Opportunity Fund to pay off the rest of the credit card. Sigh. In any event, this brings my balance down to $42,800. Not bad!
